Schyler Hiibel

Veterinarian

Schyler Hiibel was born and raised in Fallon, Nevada. She was raised on a family owned and operated cattle ranch and farm, which is where she became interested in becoming a veterinarian.

Dr. Hiibel has been working in the veterinary field for 15 years. Schyler graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and attended Colorado State University for veterinary school. She graduated from veterinary school in 2008 and returned to Nevada to practice. Western Nevada Veterinary Services began providing services within the Lovelock community in December of 2012. The Fallon office opened in February of 2014.

Dr. Hiibel enjoys helping small and large animals, as well as their people and looks forward to working with the families in the Fallon, Lovelock and surrounding areas for years to come.

In her off time, she values time with her husband and 2 children.

Sarah Vining

Veterinarian

Dr. Sarah Vining was born and raised in North Stonington, Connecticut. She was raised on a small hobby farm with sheep, dogs, and a couple horses.

Dr. Vining has been working in the veterinary field since 2001. Dr. Vining graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2000 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science, and she attended Atlantic Veterinary College in Price Edward Island, Canada for veterinary school. She graduated from veterinary school in 2007 and returned to Connecticut to practice.

Dr. Vining married into the U.S. Navy and they were relocated to Fallon in 2013. Dr. Vining enjoys working with small and large animals. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and animals.

Lena Torvik

Veterinarian

Dr. Torvik was raised on a small farm in Fernley, Nevada. This experience is what sparked her passion to become a veterinarian.

Dr. Torvik graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She attended Washington State University for veterinary school and graduated in 2015. After graduation, Dr. Torvik returned home to practice.

Dr. Torvik and her husband have a small herd of commercial angus cattle and both are very involved in the management of her parent’s flock of Dorper sheep.

In her free time, Dr. Torvik enjoys riding, traveling, and showing her horses.

Emily Torvik

Emily Torvik

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Emily Torvik has been working in the veterinary field for approximately 14 years. She graduated from Truckee Meadows Community College in 2006 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She and her husband Tyson own and operate a cow/calf herd which keeps her busy throughout the year.

Her favorite part is spring time when calving and brandings start. They recently welcomed a new baby girl to their family. She enjoys barrel racing, roping, and spending time outdoors with family, friends and all the animals.

Janell Edgemon

Veterinary Assistant

Janell Edgemon, originally from Southern California, graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor in Animal Science. She worked on the Universities Main Station Farm for 4 years as a student employee and 2 years as the cattle program manager.

She moved to Fallon 6 years ago, and in her spare time she enjoys roping and spending time with her 2 children.

Hannah Miller

Office Assistant

Hannah was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida but recently relocated to the Fallon area with her husband who is in the U.S. Navy. Hannah is currently earning her Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration at the University of West Florida. Hannah lived on a cow farm in Florida where her family owned cows, horses, goats, chickens, and several cats and dogs. Her love for animals and her interest in administration is what she enjoys most about working at WNVS.

In her free time, Hannah enjoys exploring the area and spending time with her husband and her cat, Scooter.

Jamie Loosch

Veterinary Assistant

Jamie is originally from Port Orange, Florida. She recently moved to the Fallon area with her husband and her two dogs, Zoe and Luna. In her free time, Jamie enjoys spending time with friends and playing with her fur babies.

Desiree Bullis

Veterinary Assistant

Desiree is from Southern California and was involved with FFA all four years of high school. She showed everything from turkeys to steers. She currently has a menagerie of animals which include: horses, dogs and Nigerian dairy goats, with more critters to come in the near future. She worked at a boarding and grooming kennel for 4.5 years in Riverside, CA. She started working with Dr. Hiibel in the spring of 2016.

Erin Jonnel Orfrecio

Veterinary Assistant

Erin Jonnel was raised in Fallon, NV after her father finished his time with the U.S. Navy. She graduated from Churchill County High School and is currently continuing her education at Western Nevada College as a nursing major.

 

On her off time, Erin Jonnel loves to spend time with her family and four legged friends as well as ensure time to work out and stay active.
