The Importance of the DA2PP Vaccination

DA2PP=> Distemper virus, Parvovirus, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza

Distemper: Canine distemper is a contagious and serious disease caused by a virus that attacks the respiratory, gastrointestinal and nervous systems of puppies and dogs. The virus can also be found in wildlife such as foxes, wolves, coyotes, raccoons, skunks, mink and ferrets and has been reported in lions, tigers, leopards and other wild cats as well as seals. Puppies and dogs most often become infected through airborne exposure (through sneezing or coughing) to the virus from an infected dog or wild animal. First place will receive a $25 credit toward services provided at WNVS.
Second place will receive a $10 credit toward services provided at WNVS.

Rabies Vaccination

In light of recent news events, we as a staff would like to post an article for your reading. Please remember to protect your pet, your loved ones, and your community by vaccinating your dogs and cats for Rabies.

Extreme Heat and Your Pet

Please remember to take care of our four-legged friends during our blistering summer days. Don’t leave them in the car, trailer, or outside without shade and water.

Signs of heat stroke in pets include…

Panting/difficulty breathing
Salivating
Lethargy
Vomiting or diarrhea
Staggering or weakness
Seizures

If any of these signs are noted, please call your veterinarian.
